Almost Saintly, a Prismacolor drawing, was accepted along with three other pieces into the National Art Show at the Dog Show!

Cat Movements

finally getting some artwork done--we're completely moved into our new home now & our studio is finally finished, so let the work begin! yea! I've missed having a place to work. This piece is an ink drawing from life of two of my cats as they hung out together on the bed. They rolled around next to each other, fussed with each other, and eventually hissed at each other and stalking off in opposite directions.

Dancing Free

I've updated my website and made greeting cards available (both printed & original paintings). Our studio is finally coming together & I'll hopefully be out there this week--soooo much to catch up on!

View from My Window

 

a quick little watercolor sketch of the view from our window, just off our varanda...we feel like we're on vacation, love it & enjoy having coffee with this view every morning (this painting doesn't do it justice). I think I plan to do several interpretations of this view.

our new treehouse

We're moving to a "tree house" by the lake, so for the rest of this week and into next, we'll be moving & getting settled in, so no art will be done. That's our studio over to the left. Can't wait until we've got it set up & we both can start painting again!

Midnight Horse

This started as a demo for my art appreciation class. We worked with the cheapest of supplies (watercolor paint from Walmart, styrofoam plates) and created prints. Just for fun, I took this one a little further & added Prismacolor.

Warrior II

Warrior II is part of a watercolor series of horse heads titled Sun Horse. This small watercolor is 5" x 7" & can be purchased in my Etsy Shop for $65.00.

Bree, a tabby cat

This little watercolor painting is in response to Daily Paint Works challenge "Value". You're restricted to only three values (no color), and you're encouraged to work from life. This was definitely a challenge, because I did work from life, and Bree, our grey tabby was snoozing until the phone rang. This piece is available as an original watercolor painting on a 5" x 6-1/2" greeting card w/envelope.
