Wildfire

She comes down from Yellow Mountain
On a dark, flat land she rides
On a pony she named Wildfire
With a whirlwind by her side
On a cold Nebraska night

Oh, they say she died one winter
When there came a killing frost
And the pony she named Wildfire
Busted down its stall
In a blizzard he was lost

Wildfire. This little painting, 4" x 4", completed on a gallery-wrapped canvas, was done for Daily Paint Works' challenge, painting to a song. The model for this painting is Comet, my new Tennessee Walking Horse. I'm changing his name--love that song!   Wildfire can be purchased for $45.

Life's Reflections

This is a very small oil painting, 4" x 4", on gallery-wrapped canvas completed for Daily Paint Works' "Reflections" competition. I had to work to get Max, our St. Bernard/Collie mix puppy to pose for me, but he finally settled down long enough to get his reflection in the mirror.

Toodles

Toodles is a small oil painting, 8" x 8", on gallery-wrapped canvas. The model for Toodles was a beautiful long-haired, sassy cat, seen in Texas.
